Your data
How do I back up my workouts?
Sweto backs up by itself once a week. On iPhone the backups go to your own iCloud Drive, in a Sweto folder you can see in the Files app, and they stay there even if you delete the app. On Android they are included in Android's built-in backup to your Google account, when backup is on in your phone's settings. Sweto keeps the five newest. You can see the last backup, or make one straight away with "Back up now", in Settings under Automatic backup.
You can also choose "Back up everything to JSON" under Your data, and save the file anywhere you like, such as Google Drive or your computer. Progress photos are not included in any backup.
Can I use Sweto on my phone and iPad?
Yes, with a free account. In Settings, open Account & sync and sign in with your email: Sweto emails you a code, so there is no password. Sign in with the same email on each device and your workouts, routines, food and settings stay in step. Progress photos stay on the device they were taken on. The account is optional: without one, Sweto works fully on a single device.
How do I log food quickly?
In the food sheet, tap "Scan barcode" to look up a packaged food, or "Search foods" to find it by name. Both use Open Food Facts, a free food database, and ask how many grams you had. For a meal, tap "Estimate from a photo", copy the instructions into your AI chat with a photo of your plate, and tap the Sweto link in the reply. Always check the numbers before you log them: an estimate from a photo can be well off.
How do I share a routine, or find other people's?
Open a routine and tap the share button. "Share as a message" sends it as a link anyone with Sweto can tap to add it, with no account needed. "Publish to Community" puts it where anyone can find it, in Routines > Community, and needs an account. You can take your own routines down at any time, and report any that shouldn't be there.
Can I use a workout plan from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini?
Yes. Go to Routines and tap "Import from an AI chat". Tap "Copy instructions" and paste them into your AI chat along with what you want, such as your goal and how many days a week you train. Then copy the AI's reply, paste it into Sweto, check the routines it shows, and save. A plan from an earlier chat works too. Sweto reads the sets, reps, weights and rest, and matches each exercise to its library. Sweto never connects to the AI itself: you copy and paste, so nothing is sent anywhere by the app.
How do I move to a new phone?
On iPhone, sign in to the same iCloud account on the new phone, install Sweto, go to Settings, then Automatic backup, and choose "Restore an automatic backup". On Android, restoring your Google backup while setting up the new phone brings Sweto's data back with the app. Either way, you can also make a JSON backup on the old phone and choose "Restore from a JSON backup" on the new one. A restore replaces everything on the new phone with your backup.
Can I export my training to a spreadsheet?
Yes. Settings, then Your data, has "Export sets to CSV" and "Export body weight to CSV". Both open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the app from your phone. Everything Sweto stored is removed with it. Workouts you saved to Apple Health or Health Connect stay there until you delete them in that app.
Training
How does Sweto decide what weight I should lift?
The first time you do a lift, Sweto suggests a light starting weight from your body weight, experience, age and (if you give it) sex, rounded to weights you can load. After that it uses what you actually lifted. When you hit your target reps on every working set, it suggests adding weight next time; if you are stuck at one weight for three sessions, it suggests easing back about 10% to build up again.
A machine is taken. Can I swap the exercise?
Yes. In a workout, tap the three dots next to the exercise and choose "Replace with similar". Sets you already did stay; the rest move to the new exercise.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. Settings, then "Build a new plan", starts from your earlier answers so you can change just what you need. Your existing routines and history are kept.
App settings
How do I switch between kilograms and pounds?
Settings, then Units. Your history converts automatically. You can also choose your barbell (20, 15 or 10 kg) there.
How do I change the language?
Settings, then Language. Choose Automatic to follow your phone, or pick English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Polski or Português.
The rest timer does not show on my lock screen
On iPhone, make sure Live Activities are allowed for Sweto in Settings, then Sweto. On Android, allow notifications for Sweto. You can also check that "Rest countdown" is on in the app's settings.
I cannot hear the sounds
Sweto's sounds follow your phone's silent switch, so they never play out loud when your phone is on silent. Turn silent mode off, check the volume, and make sure Sounds is on in the app's settings. Vibrations work either way.
How do I connect Apple Health or Health Connect?
Turn on the Apple Health (or Health Connect) switch in Settings and allow access when asked. Sweto then saves each finished workout and new body weight entries.
